EMPIRE WARE VASES - A PAIR
This very attractive pair of blue vases with decorative gold highlights would complement any decor.  Empire made a large range of pottery products at Stoke-on-Trent, England from the 1890s to the 1960s.  This pair of vases dates from around the 1920s - 1930s.  They feature matching designs, one of a lady feeding chickens with cows and a cottage in the background.  The other vase features a man riding a horse and leading another, with a maid feeding geese, a country cottage and pond in the background.

They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and stand at 35cm high.  As a pair they would be quite hard to come by today.

PRICE:  $325 pair

WEDGWOOD JASPERWARE BISCUIT BARREL
Made by Wedgwood in circa 1880 in the cobalt blue unglazed stoneware, this biscuit barrel (how about an ice bucket?) is in amazing conditon for its age.  It features hunting scenes typical of the period - a horse being ridden out through a gate, two hunter horses, huntsmen and hounds grounding a fox.

The EPNS (electro-plated nickel silver) mounts and handle are almost unmarked and there are only a few small cracks in the white relief.  To find one in such condition makes this very rare.  It would make the perfect wedding gift for the horsey couple.

PRICE:  $495
